Description & Services
Description (Service) The closure of schools in the spring and winter has proven that many students and families rely on support of Student Nutrition Programs to support them with proper nutrition and a sense of community by connecting with volunteers, school staff and a community that truly cares for them. The nutrition bags of healthy snacks not only assist with daily nutrition needs but also a sense of something special as each bag is theirs to call their own to enjoy during the week and possibly share with their family. The opportunity to be greeted by familiar driver, volunteers and at certain locations by teachers, assists with isolation with a special human connection.

Community Pop Up Nutrition Programs ensures the continuation of support of nutrition during the summer months when student nutrition programs are not available because of the summer school break or other times when schools are collectively experience pro-longed closures.
