Description (Service) Nutrition for Learning feeds over 20,00 children and youth in 142 schools (144 programs) in Waterloo Region from Elmira to Cambridge. ]Investment in students now will result in positive outcomes in the future for them and for the communities. Empirical evidence shows an ability to improve memory and focus in the classroom, all of which increases their chances to engage in the classroom in a more constructive way. When HUNGRY MOMENTS are recognized and satiated a basic need is met.
Hours Student nutrition programs run during the school year (Sept-June) with each site operating 2-5 days per week.
