Dumfries Conservation Area is a 75-hectare parcel of land that provides outdoor recreation and nature appreciation opportunities to the community.
The area includes two small lakes with well developed aquatic, marsh, willow-dogwood thickets and deciduous edge forest that provide habitat for a variety of birds.

The area is accessed from Snyder's Flats Road which runs off Sawmill Road, in Woolwich Twp. but across the river from the city of Waterloo.
