Description (Service) A convenient and affordable method to learn about computers. From basic computing skills to high-level computer certification, The Working Centre offers a flexible method of training in our Self-Directed lab environment. These are supported lab times, where students can work through materials at their own pace and there is always assistance as needed. Topics for study include:

Introductory MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access 
Microsoft Office Specialist Certification - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, Word Expert, Excel Expert 
Open Source Graphic Design and App Creation 
Typing Skills 
Sage 50 (formerly Simply Accounting)
Hours Mon and Fri 1 pm-4 pm and Tue and Thu 9 am-12 noon

Public Comments As of today, Tuesday March 17th, The Working Centre will be limiting public access spaces across our network of projects in response to growing COVID-19 concerns. 
 
We will continue to monitor phones and emails: please call us at (519) 743-1151 or email genmail@theworkingcentre.org and we will do our best to field your inquiries in a timely manner. 
 
If you are a volunteer or participant and are attached to a specific Community Tools Project of The Working Centre, please make phone or email inquiries to your contact person in that project. 
 
St. John's Kitchen and St John's Clinic are operating with reduced services 
 
The Job Search Resource Centre – including Tax Clinics and Money Matters – at 58 Queen Street South is closed to the public, but will continue to deliver virtual services wherever possible. 
 
All Community Tools projects including The Queen Street Commons Cafe are now closed. 
 
All Speak English Cafe and Conversation Circles at TWC, the Local Democracy class, ArtShift, and Computer Training classes are cancelled or on hold for the time being.
