Description (Service) | Specifically aimed at children up to the age of 18 who meet the Local Health Integration Network's (LHIN) Enhanced Respite/MFTD eligibility requirements. Children who have an MFTD designation are eligible for additional respite funding along with their Special Services at Home. Extend-A-Family Waterloo Region also administers the MFTD Seasonal Respite Program to provide extra out-of-home respite over the summer, March Break and other seasonal periods. EAFWR Support Coordinators work closely with other community partners to enhance individualized respite options for the families. |
