Description (Service) | The Working Centre Market Garden strives to give people access to tools to create their own work combined with continuous ways of learning and co-operating. The garden provides a hands-on learning environment in which gardeners demonstrate and share knowledge about sustainable local food production. Operating during the week from May-Nov, the garden is typically open to anyone looking to join in the work of growing fruits and vegetables on the 1 acre site. Produce is sold through a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) share program, as well as to several stores. Volunteer gardeners often share in the harvests, with any excess being donated to St. John's Kitchen. Get involved! Volunteer, or sign up for a CSA share!
