Description (Service) In partnership with the Township of Woolwich, provides low-income adults living with a low income in Woolwich Township free access to Township funded recreation programs. Depending on the interests of the individual a 10 visit pass for an activity of choice will be issued. Passes will be issued one at a time, and can be reissued every 10 weeks providing one activity per week. To reissue the application participants can stop by WCS to confirm continued eligibility.

Low income adults living in Woolwich Township
Application Participants can complete a brief application Mon to Fri. 9:00 to 5:00 pm. (appointment preferred). Confirmation of household income and Township residency will be required. The application will be strictly confidential and submitted to only senior township recreation staff for processing.

The Following Programs are Still Running:  
 
FOOD SUPPORT SERVICES offered:  
 
Food Hampers Mon-Fri 9 am-5 pm please call our office, we will take your food request, pack your hamper, and arrange a pick-up time for you.  
 
Lunch Crunch Program Families will need to call ahead. Fresh fruits and vegetables will be packed according to family size. Families can pick pick-up between 11 am-4 pm on Mon.  
 
Bread Program is available from: 12 noon-4 pm on Mon. Staff will pack for you, one person at a time.  
 
Fresh Food Fridays is available at the regular scheduled time from: 1 pm-4 pm on Fri. Staff will pack food selection(s), one person at a time.  
 
Self-Help Food Shelf continues to be available: Mon-Fri 9 am-5 pm  
 
The Information Centre is open at 5 Memorial Ave. Elmira to support people with information, referrals, faxing etc. We are encouraging people to call rather than visit office whenever possible.  
 
Woolwich Thrift Shop is open from Mon-Sat from 10 am-4 pm  
 
Woolwich Youth Centre is open Tue-Fri from 4 pm-8 pm  
 
Phone support is also available through our Low German Family Support,  
 
Family Violence Prevention Program and Individual Support Programs.

No Caring Transportation Rides
